# Lizenzierung und Konfiguration des Update-Servers überprüfen

Eine gültige Lizenzkonfiguration ist erforderlich, um Workloads und NAS-Dienste auszuführen und Systemaktualisierungen durchzuführen. Für die normale Lizenzierung und Aktualisierung ist eine Verbindung zu einem VergeOS-Update-Server sowie eine Authentifizierung erforderlich.

## Verbindung zu einem VergeOS-Update-Server überprüfen

1. Navigieren Sie vom Haupt-Dashboard zu **System > Updates**. Dadurch gelangen Sie zum Updates-Dashboard.
2. Klicken Sie **Nach Updates suchen** im linken Menü.
3. Überprüfen Sie eine grüne Anzeige im ***Status*** Feld. Eine fehlgeschlagene Verbindung wird durch einen roten Status und eine Fehlermeldung im Statusfeld angezeigt.
4. Wenn der Status nicht grün ist:
   * klicken Sie auf **Einstellungen bearbeiten** im linken Menü.
   * Überprüfen Sie **korrekte Lizenzierungs-Anmeldedaten (Benutzername/Passwort)**. Wenn Sie sich Ihrer Lizenzierungsanmeldedaten nicht sicher sind, wenden Sie sich an Ihren VergeOS-Vertriebs- oder Support-Ansprechpartner.
   * Überprüfen Sie **Update-Quelle**
     * für Heimlabore und POC-(Nicht zum Weiterverkauf)-Installationen: ***Verge.io Test/NFR***
     * für normale Produktionslizenzen: ***Verge.io-Updates***
   * Überprüfen Sie **Internetverbindung** vom VergeOS-System.
