# Die Größe eines virtuellen Festplattenlaufwerks ändern

**Hinweis**

Laufwerke können nur vergrößert werden; sie können nicht verkleinert werden. Prüfen Sie, ob Ihr Gastbetriebssystem Größenänderungen ohne Neustart unterstützt, insbesondere bei Virtio-SCSI-Laufwerken.

Um die Größe eines virtuellen Laufwerks innerhalb einer VM zu ändern, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

1. Von der **VM-Dashboard**, klicken Sie auf **Laufwerke** im linken Menü.
2. Wählen Sie das zu ändernde Laufwerk aus.
3. Klicken Sie **Bearbeiten** im linken Menü.
4. Passen Sie die Laufwerksgröße nach Wunsch an.
5. Klicken Sie **Absenden**.

## Wichtige Hinweise

**Hinweis**

Wenn die VM-Konfiguration Hot-Plugging zulässt, ist die Festplattenschnittstelle auf **Virtio-SCSI**, und das Gastbetriebssystem (OS) dies unterstützt, kann die Laufwerksgröße in der Regel ohne Neustart der VM vergrößert werden.

Laufwerke können nicht verkleinert werden. Zwar können Partitionen innerhalb des Gastbetriebssystems in ihrer Größe angepasst werden, das Laufwerk selbst kann jedoch nicht verkleinert werden.

Änderungen an der Laufwerksgröße erfordern höchstwahrscheinlich entsprechende Anpassungen im Gastbetriebssystem, damit der neu hinzugefügte Speicherplatz genutzt werden kann.
